French Open: Victoria Azarenka - Serena Williams rivalry matchup to watch Saturday May 29 2015

Victoria Azarenka has played Williams 18 times -- with Williams walking away with 15 wins. They've shared a Grand Slam court eight times -- Williams has won all eight. They've shared a hitting partner -- Sascha Bajin joined Azarenka's team in March after spending eight years, and winning 10 majors, with Williams. They've both been No. 1. They've both hoisted Grand Slam trophies.

Looking ahead to Saturday's match, If they maintain their second-round forms, world No. 1 Williams doesn't like her chances against Azarenka, who she has lost to three times in 18 meetings. "If I play the way I did (Thursday), I probably won't be winning my match," Williams said after a three-set struggle over Anna-Lena Friedsam, the world No. 105. "So I'm going to have to step it up a level."

She and Azarenka engaged in a seesaw battle earlier this month in Madrid, the Belarusian holding match points but not unable to execute. It's a loss, Azarenka said, that she doesn't let linger.

"It's in the past, and to look at it, it doesn't make much sense because tomorrow … is a new story," Azarenka told reporters.

Victoria Azarenka sets up a blockbuster round three vs Serena Williams this Saturday.

 Good luck Victoria!
