The film is about Micah True, the endurance runner nicknamed Caballo Blanco or "White Horse" who was made famous in Christopher McDougall's 2009 best-seller "Born to Run". The feature-length film chronicles the life of True and his devotion to helping the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico's Copper Canyon preserve their running culture.
True, who passed away in 2012 envisioned the race as a way to support the Tarahumara native people.
