First female ascent of Requiem E8 6b at Dumbarton Rock, Scotland April 22 2015

Dumbarton Rock in Scotland was first climbed in 1983 by Dave Cuthbertson. The ferocious slightly overhanging crack was the first in the United Kingdom to be graded E8. At the time it was hailed as one of the hardest climbs in the world.

Last September French climber Caroline Ciavaldini finally clinched the first female ascent after 31 years of the first accent, documented in this video posted by Wild Country on Vimeo.
